Bear Sighting in the Community

Dear Residents,

We want to make everyone aware that a bear was spotted in the community on Monday night, approximately one block from the beach.

While bear sightings are uncommon, they can occur. Please use caution and help reduce potential attractants by:

  • Securing all trash and recycling containers.
  • Removing pet food and bird seed from outside when possible.
  • Keeping an eye on children and pets when outdoors.
  • Never approach or attempt to feed a bear.

For additional information on living safely with bears, please visit the Colorado Parks and Wildlife resource:

Colorado Parks and Wildlife – Living with Bears

If you have any questions, please contact the District office.

Thank you for helping keep our community safe.
