Another bear sighting near 5040 Lakeshore Drive.  If you see a bear, Colorado Parks and Wildlife is asking that you report your sighting directly by calling 303-291-7227.

In addition, they asked that we notify the community of the following:

1. Trash management is very important. Keep trash inside the garage or inside a safe enclosed area. Keep lids closed at all times and only take out trash in the morning of trash pickup day.
2. It is best not to have bird feeders or nectar feeders out since it can attract the bears. 
3. If you see a bear they recommend making loud noises and hazing the bear. Use air horns, or your car alarm to scare them off.
4. They also recommend having motion sensing alarms that go off if you aren't around to scare them off.
