Good afternoon! 

Another bear sighting in the backyard at 5400 Ridge Trail early this morning.  Trustee Mease contacted the Colorado Department of Wildlife and CDOW has asked that each resident that saw a bear contact them directly at 303-291-7227. 

In addition, they asked that we notify the community of the following:

1. Trash management is very important. Keep trash inside the garage or inside a safe enclosed area. Keep lids closed at all times and only take out trash in the morning of trash pickup day.
2. It is best not to have bird feeders or nectar feeders out since it can attract the bears. 
3. If you see a bear they recommend making loud noises and hazing the bear. Use air horns, or your car alarm to scare them off.
4. They also recommend having motion sensing alarms that go off if you aren't around to scare them off.
